[Berlin-wireless] Firmware for TP-Link MR3040?

Hi.  I notice TP-Link MR3040 is missing from the list of firmware
available from
<URL: https://wiki.freifunk.net/Berlin:Firmware#Image-Typen >.  Is this
because the hardware can not be used with the Freifunk network in
Berlin, or because no-one spent the time needed to get the firmware
working?

The hardware seem to be working with OpenWRT according to
<URL: https://wiki.openwrt.org/toh/tp-link/tl-mr3040 >.  There seem to
be LEDE images available from
<URL: https://downloads.lede-project.org/releases/17.01.4/targets/ar71xx/generic/ >
too.

I got two of these, and would very much like to get them working. with
the Freifunk Berlin setup.
