Hi Everyone -

I have managed to squeeze some gear into my existing suitcase (about 15 Ubiquiti APs) and will be back in Berlin on 12 Sep and can coordinate handing off then and also getting a shipment in.

Bob Fynbo was donating to a group in NY before but they discontinued. All he's asking is that we'd pay shipping - he has a bunch of Ubiquiti Bullets and heaps of other gear. I'd imagine the Zollamt might not be the happiest (he mentioned writing "salvage equipment" on the shipping bill), but let's work that out. I asked him and he mentioned UPS or FedEx as working for him.

S.

S.

On 1 September 2016 at 07:41, Philipp Borgers <borgers@mi.fu-berlin.de> wrote:

Hey Simon,

thanks for your kind offer.

After discussing the topic with some friends on our meeting yesterday I think we
can put the hardware to good use in one way or the other. Two examples would be
installations in refugee camps or give the hardware to people that can't afford
the cost of a freifunk installation.

Do you have a complete list of the hardware? Can you check the shipping cost to
Berlin? If you can grab another suitcase that would be perfect too!

If it's too much trouble to send it to Europe I suggest you try to connect
communities in the USA. Maybe the OTI can point you to some communities in need:
We really appreciate your offer. Thanks again!
Best Philipp
