<p>In 2015 @ Transmediale I attended a great Radical Networks
workshop with a group of people who produced a book and gave
workshops on "messing around with packet radio" - giving good tips
on digital radio comms on the cheap, for their book, see

<p>In 2019, at MiCT Sommerfest in Brunnenstraße, I gave a
demonstration of packet radio using the open source Direwolf
soundmodem package which has AX.25 packet radio compatible
operation mode (publicly over an audio null modem cable, but
tested privately using ham radio).<br>

<p>This can also work over CB radio, amongst other frequencies. I've
also used direwolf with raspberry pi's running Devuan Linux with
good results.<br>

<p>2 things. <br>
</p>
<p>- don't expect it to be very high bandwidth (but hey: needs must)</p>
<p>- don't expect it to be legal (even on ISM or public bands, or
even with ham licence, sometimes in some places there are some
restrictions on digital comms or encrypted comms, etc)<br>

11m Band) kann jedermann ohne HAM-Lizenz mit PC sehr
gut digitale Datenübertragung auf den vorgesehenen
Bändern machen und Neues mit Programmen ausprobieren.
(Datenfunk per , 12W SSB auf den Kanälen 6, 7, 24, 25)
Ich verstehe zwar nichts davon, aber genau das ist
reizvoll für mich. CB-Geräte sind billig, das was man
