<div style="width: 71ch;">We are planning to apply for the Google
Summer of Code [1] again in 2024. The application period for org
starts on January 22 [2].</div>

<div style="width: 71ch;">There's one change compared to last year:</div>

</div>
<div style="width: 71ch;">It is now possible to have even smaller
projects, too. A small project should be finished in 90 hours,
compared to medium (175h) and large (350h) projects.</div>

</div>
<div style="width: 71ch;">All the other things stay the same:</div>
<div style="width: 71ch;"><br>
</div>
<div style="width: 71ch;">* anyone older than 18 can get a
contributor</div>
<div style="width: 71ch;">* schedules are flexible, projects can be
stretched from 10 up to 22 weeks</div>

<div style="width: 71ch;">What needs to be done now? </div>

<div style="width: 71ch;">In the current phase, we need to collect
project ideas, because these will feed into the evaluation of our
application. We collect your ideas at <a

and they can be edited in Github at <a
href="https://github.com/freifunk/projects/tree/main/_projects"

It's best to use the month of January to go through your to-do
lists :)</div>
