Ja. Die Ansicht der Routen verbraucht einfach viel RAM. Wenn man davon zuwenig
hat, fängt der Kernel an Prozesse zu töten.

Kann doch auch ein Feature sein, wen beim Nachbar etwas falsch konfiguriert ist
oder hängt.

Die Routen über das BBB-VPN werden künstlich schlechter gemacht, damit dein
Router z.B. lokale Funkverbindungen bevorzugt.
