Hi Norm at n,
(englisch immer, wenn ich eine msg sonstwo verteile, sonst lieber daeutsch)
Der Song sagt "^m[pause]mv /etc/init.d/dropbear
/etc/init.d/S51dropbear;reboot^m". Sonst nix. Fuer einen wie-auch-immer
verfummelten Fonera nimm besser ein richtiges Seriell-Kabel. Auf der c-base
turnen jeden Mittwoch welche 'rum, die sowas in der Tasche haben.
PC-Piepser oder an irgendwas anderem herumwackeln waer' auch gegangen, aber
Musi find' ich poetischer und es gibt diese praktischen Sound-Anschluesse,
da muss man nichts aufschrauben (ausser die kleine Kiste natuerlich).

lack of age) did not experience, when people used acoustic couplers to
tap into computers of the telephone network and so on...
However: How exactly does that work? No, this was not the question I was
meant to ask, I'd better put it that way: What exactly does this series
of pulses "tell" the Fonera device? Is it possible to revive a "dead"
device with this method (it seems not to boot up any more until the
point when ssh would be loaded), or is the "song" only for opening the
closed devices given out by FON?
