Hi Chris,
ich nehme mal an, wir sind auf "Best effort". Jedenfalls sehe ich auf
der VM stark schwankende Mb/s-Angaben während eines einfachen
Wget-Tests. In der Zeit hatte ich den Vpn-Server mal für eine Minute
disabled, so dass kein anderer Traffic anlag. Ich interpretier' das mal
als "andere haben Vorfahrt". Der FU-Server ist jedenfalls flotter, auf
einer Hetzner-Kiste bekomm' ich "100%[==========>] 92,772,119 71.2M/s
in 1.2s". Aber ich will mal nicht meckern, woanders bekommen wir bei 1
Terabyte/Day sicher nicht so ohne weiteres durch ;-)
Achso. Möglicherweise ist auch bei OpenVPN noch Optimierungspotential
drin. Ein 1500-Byte-Paket wird ja in zwei OpenVPN-UDP-Pakete gekapselt.
Mithin in 2 Paketen übertragen. Mit einer angepassten Tun-MTU läufts
möglicherweise bissi flotter.
